A gasoline recipe that resists knock the way a mixture of 87-percent isooctane and 13-percent n-heptane would is rated at 87. Racing fuels with octane ratings over 100 resist self-ignition even better than pure isooctane. The octane ratings for regular-grade fuel range from 85 to 87, midgrades are rated 88 to 90, and 91 and higher is premium.
I would just use a top tier gas station(s). ie: Aral(BP), Esso (Exxon/Mobil), Shell. You want to always use SuperPlus grade. That is 98 octane. There is also Super (a mid grade fuel) and E10 Super (regular fuel). No one buys E10 bc of the 10 Ethanol in it. Aral (BP) has 102 octane fuel, called "Ultimate". Shell have V-Power and is 101 Octane.
SHELL Octane Ratings: Shell (unleaded) 91 Octane what do you think about Shell V-Power racing fuel, 100 Octane but with 5% ethanol. Is that the da new bomb, has anyone tried it ? They also have V-Power fuel which is the new Shell Optimax but with something called Friction Motion Technology. (no, I don't work for Shell!)---

Shell sells 91 Octane fuel and the Shell V-Power that is being marketed as the performance fuel has the same 91 octane rating, but comes with additives. For several years, the highest octane
